Gene Houghton serves as an Executive Recruiter for Harvard Group International with more than 15 years of experience in the Commercial Staffing and Recruiting industries. Successfully leading a team of recruiters, he has used his valuable expertise, knowledge and background to assist clients with their Senior Level staffing needs in: Corporate Events, Manufacturing (Automotive, CPG, Medical devices, etc.), IT, as well as all levels of Executives and Engineers across multiple industries. His customers include companies such as FIRST Agency, Google, Park Ohio, McDonalds, Luxottica, Cristal Global/Tronox, and many more.
Prior to joining the HGI team, Gene served as a Senior Recruiting Consultant and successfully ran commercial staffing offices in Northeastern and Southwestern Ohio. From this experience, he has been able to garner a strong presence in the Events, IT, and manufacturing sectors. He has firsthand experience interacting with and engaging management at all levels to create mutually beneficial relationships. He is adept at listening to and understanding his clients’ wants and needs and often serves as a subject matter expert.
Gene earned his degree from Kent State University and is a Veteran of the United States Army. In his spare time, he is an avid fisherman and enjoys practicing the lapidary arts.
