Barry Trout is Managing Director of Harvard Group International with experience in the Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, Management Consulting and Telecommunications industries.
Prior to his tenure with Harvard Group International while at Accenture and Deloitte & Touche, Barry advised Fortune 500 US and international clients in the pharmaceutical, finance, chemical, and energy sectors on issues ranging from strategic visioning, corporate performance management, balanced scorecards, organizational design, business opportunity assessment, and operational cost reduction.
While at Hughes Electronics, Barry was the Product Line Manager responsible for starting an advanced telematics initiative at General Motors now known as OnStar. Prior to that, he was in the defense business with Hughes Aircraft Company and Emerson Electric in program management and business development for airborne electronic warfare and electronic intelligence systems, as well as in systems engineering for ground based anti-aircraft radars, including managing the front-end development (LDM) of the US Navy’s tactical fighter radar warning receiver for F-14’s, F-18’s, AV8B’s, and the A6 aircraft.
Barry currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Kettering Executive Network, a private network of 450-500 senior executives in the Atlanta area who have experience at the Director/ Vice President level in Fortune 500 companies or “CxO” level in other companies. He is also Executive Director of the Atlanta Business School Alliance, an alliance of 16 top-ranked US and international business school alumni clubs in Atlanta that serve over 8,000 alumni in the Atlanta area.
Barry has an MBA with High Distinction from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, as well as a Master of Science from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida.
