Allan B. Hechtman is a Managing Director with Harvard Group International (HGI). In his more than 35 years as an executive search and recruitment consultant, Allan has earned a reputation as a premier high-integrity professional business partner and talent resource who consistently exceeds his clients’ expectations for performance and service. He attributes his enduring success to his abilities to build lasting collaborative client relationships and to identifying, evaluating and bringing forward only “best-in-class” talent who directly and immediately positively impact clients’ businesses. He has successfully completed more than 400 mid (Senior Manager/Director) to senior (VP, SVP, EVP, “C”-Suite) executive and Board search projects.
Allan’s executive search practice focuses on work with emerging market and midsize to Fortune 500 consumer companies in a variety of industries including but not limited to: CPG, Restaurants, Retail, Beverages, Hospitality, Financial Services/ Insurance, Automotive, Real Estate, Healthcare/Pharma and Technology.
His professional background includes more than four decades of diverse leadership and management experience in Sales, Marketing, Business Development and Recruiting, starting with Xerox in his native Chicago. In 1981, he moved his family to Coral Springs, Florida, and founded Allan B. Hechtman, Inc., an executive search and recruitment firm specializing in the placement of top-quality mid to senior level marketing and advertising professionals for select Fortune 500 companies and their advertising agencies. He grew and managed the firm until 2008 building lasting client and candidate relationships that remain the foundation of his business to this day.
Allan holds a B.J. degree in Journalism (Marketing & Advertising) from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. He also has completed several nationally recognized sales training courses with leading trainers, such as Tony Robbins and Zig Ziglar.
Allan and his wife, Robin reside in Boca Raton, Florida. They have two daughters, Marnie and Jodi, and three grandchildren. He enjoys golf, biking, music, movies, reading, traveling and spectator sports.
