He has successfully completed hundreds of mid to “C” Suite level searches with numerous satisfied clients, in various consumer facing industries.
At HGI, Allan’s executive search practice focuses on select clients in emerging markets, midsize and leading global companies primarily in the following industries: Restaurants, Retail, Beverages, CPG and Hospitality. Leading teams of experienced recruiters and researchers, he uses his expertise and knowledge of these businesses and their corporate cultures to assist his clients with their senior level staffing needs, ensuring the right fit with the right role.
His professional background includes more than four decades of diverse leadership and management experience in Sales, Marketing, Business Development and Recruiting, starting with Xerox in his native Chicago. In 1981, he moved his family to Coral Springs, Florida, and founded Allan B. Hechtman, Inc. – an executive search and recruitment firm specializing in the placement of top-quality mid to senior level marketing and advertising professionals for select Fortune 500 companies and their advertising agencies. He grew and managed the firm for 20+ years, building lasting client and candidate relationships that remain the foundation of his business to this day.
Allan holds a B.J. degree in Journalism (Marketing & Advertising) from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. He and wife, Robin reside in Port St. Lucie, Florida. They have two daughters, Marnie and Jodi, and three grandchildren. He enjoys family time, walking, biking, working out, music, movies, reading, traveling and spectator sports.
