Vice President, Facilities & Operational Support

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Vice President of Facilities & Operational Support will provide executive leadership for all facilities, infrastructure, maintenance, health & safety, physical security, environmental compliance, and capital project activities across the organization’s Montreal operation. This newly created position reflects a strategic investment in supporting the company’s continued growth through disciplined infrastructure planning, operational excellence, and long-term campus development.

Reporting directly to the General Director of Canada, this executive will lead the organization’s Operational Support function while partnering closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and executive leadership to ensure the physical infrastructure of the business supports both current operations and future expansion.

This individual will immediately assume responsibility for significant capital initiatives, including a major engine test cell expansion, while developing the long-term facilities strategy, maintenance philosophy, contractor management approach, and infrastructure roadmap for one of the company’s most important global operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead Facilities, Maintenance, Infrastructure, Health & Safety, Security, Environmental, and Operational Support functions.
  • Develop and execute the long-term facilities and infrastructure strategy supporting business growth.
  • Lead major capital construction, expansion, renovation, and infrastructure improvement projects.
  • Oversee facility maintenance, utilities, building systems, and asset reliability initiatives.
  • Manage operating and capital budgets while developing KPIs that improve maintenance performance and operational efficiency.
  • Lead workplace safety, environmental compliance, emergency preparedness, and business resiliency initiatives.
  • Direct contractor and vendor relationships to ensure safe, cost-effective project execution.
  • Partner with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and executive leadership to align infrastructure investments with business priorities.
  • Lead and develop multidisciplinary operational support organization focused on accountability and continuous improvement.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Facilities, Infrastructure, Maintenance, Engineering, or Operational Support within complex industrial or highly regulated environments.
  • Demonstrated success leading large capital construction, campus expansion, or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience overseeing facilities maintenance, utilities, contractor management, and operational support organizations.
  • Strong financial acumen with responsibility for operating and capital budgets.
  • Proven ability to influence executive leadership and build strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Experience within aerospace, aviation, advanced manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, transportation, energy, or similarly regulated industries.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Business, Construction Management, or a related discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as CFM, FMP, PMP, LEED, or similar are preferred.
  • Fluency in both English and French is strongly preferred.
