ROLE OVERVIEW
The Senior Quality Assurance Manager, Part 145 will coordinate the activities and compliance with regulatory entities such as FAA, EASA, etc. This position leads and reinforces all aspects of quality assurance, ensuring the company’s QMS meets all customer, company, Part 145, ISO 9001, AS9110, and CASE Audit requirements. A day in the life may look like:
- QA checks, internal audits, and review parts for Return to Service.
- Work well with mechanics on the shop floor, has a teaching/training mentality.
- Ability to implement, assess and further develop QA system.
REQUIREMENTS
- FAA Return to Service Authority (Repairman Cert) – A&P Mechanic license helpful but not required. Must be in good standing with the FAA.
- Hands-on component/parts maintenance experience at an MRO / 145 shop with return parts to service / inspection experience.
- Thorough understanding of applicable FAA regulations & inspection methods, techniques & equipment used to determine quality or airworthiness.
- Must have experience building/adding/obtaining approval of capabilities within ratings.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the interface with customers, FAA, and other regulatory agencies with respect to Quality.
- Manages and Directs the Quality Assurance and Quality Control departments.
- Assure airworthiness of all aircraft articles IAW approved/acceptable tech data. (Safety Sensitive)
- Coordinate with the FAA and EASA on activities requiring acceptance of the Administrator. These include, but are not limited to, implementing changes to the repair station Ops Spec, Repair Station Manuals and FAA approved training Program.
- Reviewing and updating of the Repair Station Manuals and Procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Maintain current FAA and EASA certification.
- Build out the training program to develop and advance mechanics.
- Streamline Parts Evaluation Program, finding gaps and tracking measurables.
- Build out capability project plan.
COMPENSATION
A meaningful compensation package will be developed for the successful candidate that includes a base salary plus performance-based bonus.
