Senior Manager, Strategic Finance Operations

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Senior Manager of Strategic Finance Operations plays a key role in driving operational excellence across the Finance organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, this high-visibility role will support enterprise initiatives by improving internal processes, managing project execution, and aligning cross-functional stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial fluency and a natural curiosity to understand how the business operates, with the ability to dive deep into internal processes and proactively identify opportunities for improvement – particularly in core areas like Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a thought partner to the CFO in translating high-level strategy into executable plans, with a focus on accountability and operational excellence.
  • Proactively identify and clear operational bottlenecks across the Finance organization, helping teams move faster and more efficiently without requiring direction.
  • Take the initiative to remove tasks from the CFO’s plate – anticipating needs, triaging issues, and following through independently.
  • Lead complex, cross-functional strategic initiatives by proactively identifying and addressing emerging opportunities and challenges, including root cause analysis of departmental issues and facilitating team collaboration for effective problem-solving.
  • Drive execution of transformation efforts, supporting post-acquisition integration, system improvements, and functional alignment across departments.
  • Track and measure performance indicators for finance initiatives, surfacing risks and recommending course corrections as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

  • You are an Experienced Pioneer: You have 5+ years of experience in finance, consulting, and/or investment banking, within a fast-pace, high-growth environment with extensive exposure to executive-level audiences. Experience with private equity and M&A, including integration of acquired businesses with a demonstrated ability to manage complex, high-impact projects with multiple stakeholders is a plus.
  • You are Financially Fluent: You have a strong working knowledge of finance and accounting, and are confident interpreting, analyzing, and building financial models and tools in Excel.
  • You are Agile: You have a proven track record in project management and demonstrated the ability to manage complex, high-impact projects with multiple stakeholders through large scale initiatives.
  • You are a Lifelong Learner: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is required. Experience with BI tools or project management software is a plus.

COMPENSATION

A meaningful compensation package will be developed for the successful candidate that includes a base salary plus performance-based bonus.
