ROLE OVERVIEW
The Regional Vice President of New Business is a high-impact business development role responsible for converting qualified inbound opportunities into long-term client relationships. Leveraging the firm’s robust marketing and referral engine, this individual serves as the front-end ambassador of the brand, guiding prospective clients through discovery, solution development, and the decision-making process before transitioning clients to local advisors for ongoing relationship management. Unlike a traditional Financial Advisor role focused on servicing existing clients, the RVP of New Business is dedicated to client acquisition and growth. The successful candidate combines financial planning credibility with a strong business development mindset, thriving in a high-activity environment where success is measured by conversion, growth, and client impact. This position represents an expansion of a proven and highly successful capability and offers the opportunity to directly influence the firm’s continued growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engage qualified inbound prospects generated through marketing, referral, and lead-generation efforts.
- Conduct discovery conversations to uncover client goals, concerns, and financial priorities.
- Present value proposition and guide prospects through the decision-making process.
- Convert opportunities into new client relationships and achieve new business objectives.
- Develop and present integrated planning solutions covering investments, retirement, tax, and estate planning.
- Partner closely with advisors to facilitate successful client transitions.
- Maintain disciplined CRM documentation, pipeline management, and follow-up activity.
- Collaborate with peer RVPs and business development professionals to share best practices and drive performance.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of client-facing experience within wealth management, financial planning, investment advisory, or related financial services environments.
- Demonstrated success converting new business opportunities into client relationships.
- Active Series 65 license required; Series 7 preferred.
- CFP® or ChFC® designation preferred.
- Experience within RIAs, wealth management firms, or fiduciary advisory environments preferred.
- Strong consultative selling, discovery, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to operate independently while managing a high-volume opportunity pipeline.
- Experience utilizing CRM, financial planning, and advisor technology platforms.

COMPENSATION
A competitive compensation package will be developed for the successful candidate, including base salary and performance-based incentive compensation. Compensation will be calibrated to reflect the business development expectations, revenue impact, and growth contribution associated with the role.
