ROLE OVERVIEW
The Quality Environmental Health & Safety (QEHS) Manager will be part of a growing team that is focused on driving and innovating safety processes within the service organization. The QEHS Manager ensures all Quality Environmental Health and Safety policies, programs, procedures, training, work practices and safety controls are effectively implemented and compliant. The individual is responsible for managing site safety with employees and leadership teams by interpreting and communicating safety standards impacting company operations. They will develop, implement, coordinate, and maintain programs for North America.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops local quality and safety program for US organization that supports customer and Global EHS requirements.
- Analysis of EHS metrics discovering trends and drive improvement plans to closure minimizing risk while improving performance.
- Implement and maintain safety incident and health case reporting.
- Work with local management to maintain Emergency Response Programs.
- Create and maintain practices, procedures, training, and management controls to ensure all work is arranged and executed in a safe manner.
- Ownership and driving assurance of internal audits to ensure compliance with global policies as well as occupational safety and health regulations and customer requirements at customer locations.
- Provide introductory safety training and refresher training.
- Lead and develop incident prevention efforts such as, i.e., Safety Management by Walking Around audits (SMBWAs) while implementing cultural safety among the service organization.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements (OSHA, EHS, ESG, etc.).
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of EHS experience in semiconductor fabs or other high-tech/high-volume manufacturing industry.
- Quality Engineering/Management background required, preferably lean six sigma certification (e.g. green belt, black belt).
- Strong customer support and interpersonal skills to be able to interface with customers in stressful conditions while maintaining a professional demeanor, respect and courtesy at all times.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
COMPENSATION
A meaningful compensation package will be developed for the successful candidate that includes a base salary plus performance-based bonus.
