ROLE OVERVIEW

The Outside Sales Representative plays a pivotal role in driving business expansion within the Security & Fencing industry, utilizing their expertise and established connections. With a proven track record of generating new business across diverse verticals, they excel in identifying and seizing new market opportunities, creatively aligning AMICO product lines with industry demands. Through proactive market analysis and strategic planning, they lead the development of initiatives to penetrate various sectors. Emphasizing face-to-face client interactions, the role prioritizes building enduring relationships. The ideal candidate is a visionary problem-solver who excels in uncovering untapped potential and driving tangible business growth within the industrial metals industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct a number of set sales calls and presentations each week by physical visits to customer locations.
  • Perform professional presentations or demonstrations of company product(s) while on-site.
  • Find and develop prospective customers with trade focus as a priority.
  • Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and/or reports.
  • Generate and develop new customer accounts to increase revenue, by cold-calling if necessary.
  • Always maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company in a positive manner.
  • Actively manage call schedule to adequately cover assigned territory in a time-efficient manner.
  • Maintain accurate records, including customer interaction related notes in Pipedrive, expense reimbursement forms, billing invoices, and other documentation as required.
  • Build and maintain ongoing awareness of new products and services, competitor activities, and other research.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of outside sales experience in the security, fencing, or construction industries.
  • Experience selling to contractors and corporations, including presenting to architects and engineers.
  • Proven success in growing sales and meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Willingness to travel 70% of the time in the Midwest.
  • Self-motivated and independent, able to manage time and territory effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build lasting client relationships.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic, ready to engage in hands-on tasks.
  • Quick learner, adaptable, and excited about the business.

COMPENSATION

A meaningful compensation package will be developed for the successful candidate that includes a base salary plus performance-based bonus.
