ROLE OVERVIEW

The Outside Sales Representative, Central Canada plays a pivotal role in driving business expansion within the Steel sector, leveraging their industry expertise and established connections. With a proven track record of generating new business across OEM and end-user markets, they excel in identifying and capitalizing on emerging opportunities, creatively aligning AMICO Canada product lines with industry demands. Emphasizing face-to-face client engagement, the role is centered on fostering long-term relationships. The ideal candidate is a dynamic and results-driven sales leader with a proven ability to identify and cultivate untapped markets, driving measurable business growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct sales calls and client visits to build relationships, manage accounts, and maximize territory coverage.
  • Deliver professional presentations and product demonstrations to educate customers and drive sales.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, focusing on trade-focused prospects and OEM/End User growth.
  • Utilize CRM to track leads, maintain accurate records, and manage a strong opportunity pipeline.
  • Communicate product benefits, provide pricing quotes, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales orders.
  • Expand customer accounts through proactive outreach, including prospecting, cold calling, and lead follow-ups.
  • Perform opportunity assessments for end-users, fabrication, and OEMs to support strategic targeting.
  • Engage accounts through in-person and virtual visits while coordinating with the NSM to protect key relationships.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities to drive business growth.
  • Continuously enhance technical knowledge of products, applications, and industry best practices.
  • Participate in cross-functional production planning, engineering discussions, and contract reviews.
  • Adapt to evolving sales strategies and take on additional responsibilities as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years in outside sales, focusing on business development, sales growth, and relationship management in the steel sector. Mining industry experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in reading structural steel drawings and CRM systems (Pipedrive preferred).
  • Proven track record of revenue growth, with experience selling to OEM and end-user markets.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and business writing skills. Bilingual (English/French) is a plus.
  • Skilled at building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing strong customer service,
    and driving results.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment while maintaining focus and confidentiality.

COMPENSATION

A meaningful compensation package will be developed for the successful candidate that includes a base salary plus performance-based bonus.
