ROLE OVERVIEW
Lead the national sales efforts for the company’s Building Products division. Responsibilities include developing and implementing a national sales strategy for Building Products, guiding a high-performing sales team, and coordinating cohesive marketing campaigns that align with business objectives. Primary responsibilities include strategic leadership, team management and business development along with deep domain experience, industry know-how, dedicated focus on growing and transforming targets, sales planning, strategy and forecasting, with budget oversight.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify value proposition/Go-to-Market strategy to drive profitable growth. This includes the identification of product (new and existing) offering needs and the integration of the current product offerings into the overall future portfolio.
- Manage pricing, margins and revenues to ensure profitable growth and obtainment of annual operational plans.
- Develop and evaluate annual sales plan and expense plan for each area in the country.
- Review market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates, and develop sales campaigns.
- Represent company at industry association meetings and trade shows to promote products.
- Participate in budget preparation.
- Maintain an up-to-date library of all competitor’s product literature, media advertising, directory listings, as well as keeping a profile on each one for review and planning/budgeting purposes.
- Communicate and liaise with architects, installers and end user organizations as it relates to new products.
REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years of sales & leadership experience in residential & commercial building products with a strong network and deep understanding of market channels and pricing.
- Outside Sales experience and familiarity with building codes, technical sales, and understanding of product lifecycles along with strong customer-facing skills. A proven track record of revenue growth, including P&L responsibility, strategic planning, and personnel management.
- Ability and willingness to drive use and further development of a CRM system to further the goal of having a data driven approach to sales.
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, aviation, or a related field is preferred or commensurate experience.
