The National Sales Manager, Industrial is a senior commercial leadership role responsible for leading and growing a North American industrial metals business. This individual will own national sales strategy and execution across the U.S. and Canada, with accountability for revenue growth, pricing strategy, margin performance, and market share recovery. This role leads a geographically dispersed inside and outside sales organization and partners closely with Operations and Finance to align commercial priorities with manufacturing capabilities. The ideal candidate brings experience within industrial or metals manufacturing and thrives in competitive, price-driven markets requiring disciplined execution and change leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and execute the national go-to-market strategy for the industrial product portfolio across North America.
- Lead revenue growth initiatives, pricing strategy, margin improvement, and volume recovery efforts.
- Drive market share gains through disciplined pricing, account segmentation, and competitive positioning.
- Lead and develop a national inside and outside sales organization, establishing clear expectations and performance standards.
- Implement a consistent sales operating cadence, including forecasting, pipeline management, and KPI accountability.
- Serve as a senior commercial presence with key customers, strategic accounts, and channel partners.
- Partner closely with Operations and Finance to align pricing, volume commitments, and customer expectations with production and cost realities.
- Maintain awareness of market dynamics, competitive behavior, and customer buying drivers.
REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years of progressive sales and commercial leadership experience within industrial manufacturing, metals, or adjacent sectors.
- Proven experience leading national or multi-regional sales teams in competitive, price-driven environments.
- Demonstrated ownership of pricing strategy, margin management, and revenue performance.
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to drive accountability across dispersed teams.
- Experience implementing disciplined sales processes, CRM usage, and data-informed decision making.
- Comfortable operating in environments requiring urgency, structure, and organizational change.
- Strong business judgment with the ability to balance short-term execution with long-term strategic priorities.
