We’re looking for a Managing Director who is ready to take ownership, build strong client relationships, and drive growth in a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
What You’ll Do
As a Managing Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in expanding HGI’s reach, working closely with executives to deliver best-in-class talent solutions. Your focus will be on three key areas:
✔ Business Development:
- Identify and develop new client relationships across industries.
- Sell executive search services, leveraging HGI’s proven methodology.
- Close high-value deals and build long-term partnerships.
- Work closely with our Research & Recruiting team to deliver top-tier talent.
✔ Project Management:
- Lead end-to-end executive search projects, ensuring smooth execution.
- Develop strategic search plans and guide clients through the hiring process.
- Present top candidates within 30 days and manage client expectations.
- Oversee candidate vetting, interviews, and offer negotiations to ensure a perfect match.
✔ Leadership & Growth (After Year 1):
- Mentor and develop new Managing Directors, helping expand HGI’s footprint.
- Play an active role in shaping HGI’s long-term business strategy.
- Continue growing your own book of business while supporting team success.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, executive search, or recruiting.
- A strong track record of closing large deals and building executive relationships.
- Experience in C-level negotiations and consulting.
- A self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset — this is a high-performance role.
- The ability to influence, strategize and execute in complex organizations.
- A passion for delivering high-quality results with a client-first approach.

Preference will be given to candidates with an active book of business who can immediately attract clients to HGI. Potential Managing Directors can be located anywhere in the U.S., as our current client base and capabilities span across North America. However, our headquarters is in North Atlanta, where executive-level office space is available for those who prefer an in-office environment.
