Director of Sales, North America

ROLE OVERVIEW

Our client, a global leader in semiconductor manufacturing and microfabrication technologies, is seeking a strategic and commercially driven Director of Sales to lead and scale its North American commercial organization. Reporting to the Vice President & General Manager of North America, this individual will lead a team of approximately 13 employees across sales and sales administration while driving the organization’s next phase of growth. The company is seeking a proven commercial leader capable of accelerating growth, expanding strategic accounts, and increasing market penetration across the semiconductor, advanced packaging, MEMS, photonics, biomedical, and emerging technology markets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute the North American commercial strategy to support continued growth.
  • Expand strategic accounts while identifying new applications and emerging market opportunities.
  • Personally engage key customers and participate in executive-level sales discussions and negotiations.
  • Identify opportunities across adjacent markets including quantum technologies, biomedical systems, MEMS, photonics, and advanced micro-manufacturing.
  • Evaluate market trends, competitive activity, and customer roadmaps to identify future growth opportunities.
  • Partner closely with global headquarters on strategic accounts, forecasting, and commercial initiatives.
  • Serve as a bridge between North American operations and international leadership within a global matrix environment.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum twelve (12) years of progressive commercial leadership experience within semiconductor capital equipment, semiconductor manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, or other highly technical engineered-product environments.
  • Demonstrated success leading and growing technical sales organizations within complex B2B environments.
  • Proven history of driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and developing new business opportunities.
  • Experience selling highly engineered capital equipment, manufacturing systems, process technologies, or other consultative technical solutions.
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed sales teams and Demonstrated success operating within global, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to engage senior technical and business leaders.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout North America and internationally.

 Strongly Preferred:

  • Direct semiconductor capital equipment industry experience.
  • Experience supporting semiconductor manufacturing, advanced packaging, wafer processing, MEMS, photonics, or related microfabrication technologies.
  • Leadership experience within organizations developing and commercializing highly engineered manufacturing technologies.
  • Experience identifying and commercializing opportunities within adjacent or emerging technology markets.
