ROLE OVERVIEW
The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for implementing the organization’s financial operations and strategic financial planning and working capital management dynamics, including cash, line of credit and acquisitions. With direct responsibility for both daily external and internal accounting functions, the CFO is essential in enhancing and streamlining accounting processes to simplify operations. This role is hands-on in devising and implementing financial strategies, conducting thorough research, analyzing accounting matters, and overseeing tax compliance. The Ideal Candidate will come from Aviation and have experience in airframe parts & MRO, PE exposure is a plus. Skillset will include significant P&L, working capital management and line of credit with a strong understanding of cash flow. This person will be a change agent with a tenacity to solve a problem and a strong ability to manage the team to clear KPIs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acts as a strategic partner on the leadership team and works closely with the team to ensure they are meeting performance expectations.
- Lead and ensure the availability of 15+ team members and resources for the accounting department to function efficiently.
- Guarantee the provision of financial information in a timely and accurate manner.
- Develop, implement, and oversee accounting policies and procedures to enhance financial integrity and transparency.
- Maintain rigorous internal and external controls to safeguard the organization’s financial assets.
- Coordinate effectively with the legal department to ensure compliance and mitigate financial risks.
- Supervise the monthly financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
- Maintain productive banking relationships and oversee cash distribution and income-related coordination.
REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field is required; Master’s Degree and CPA strongly preferred.
- 7+ years working as the accountable financial officer in Aviation & Aerospace including experience with airframe parts and MRO with responsibility for $150 million+ P&L. Experience working with private equity oversight is a strong advantage.
- You have In-depth understanding of working capital management dynamics, including cash, line of credit and acquisitions. Deep understanding of Lot Accounting, BERs, Exchanges, Nil, & cycle counting.
- In-depth understanding of industry technology including Quantum, Planful, Concur, Power BI, WMS and ERP systems.
